The Contortionist - IntrinsicI know a lot of my fellow tumblers like awesome music AND science. Well this album is for you. The Contortionist combines prog-metal with post-rock; melody oozes out of this thing, and the jarring and angular parts are soooooo tasty.The song titles - Holomovement (quantum mechanics!), Feedback Loop, Causality, Cortical, Anatomy Anomalies, for example, and the lyrics examine consciousness, the edges of that consciousness, lucid dreams, and the universe inside us all. Oh yeah, here’s a stream of the entire thing. Word.
